Here i will be discussing about embedding your like and share button in your WordPress blog without downloading any plugin. There are two ways of embedding the button , you can choose any one of them according to your choice.
You need to first create a FB fan page. If you are aware how to make it then you can follow the steps stated in How to Make a Fb fan page.
1. Here is a direct link for Facebook Like and Share button . This is the Facebook Developers page login.
2. After clicking on the link you will get this page where you need to put your Facebook page URL. I have selected layout as button and action type as Like. I have even opted to include a share button and to show friends' faces so that anyone liking the page may know their friends who have already liked it.
After setting your preferences click Get Code.
3. I have selected the second option to place the code of the plugin with the Text Widget so that I may choose where to place my FB like button. Copy the Code.
4. In your WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance> Widgets
5. You will have a list of available widgets in your Widget page as calendar, categories, top posts and many more. Select the Text Widget and drag it to either to Primary Sidebar or Footer Widget Area wherever you wish to put your Like Button.
In the Text widget paste the copied code in the Content area and save it.
You are done. Check your website to see your new Facebook Like and Share Button.
- You need to go to Page Plugin option to get this pattern of FB like button. You can directly click page plugin option.
2. Put your FB page URL and put your preferences as you wish and the same way click Get Code.
After you have done these two steps then follow the previous steps as before.
You will get the Like Button in this pattern Instantly.
